Al Hakam

Al Hakam is a weekly English newspaper for members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community around the world.

This year, 1,394 Waqifeen-e-Nau attended, an increase of 30 Waqifeen as compared to last year. Along with guests, the total attendance was 1,725.

On Saturday, 6 April 2019, Waqifaat-e-Nau in the UK gathered at Baitul Futuh, London for their annual Ijtema.

On 31 March 2019, 182 Khuddam had the blessed opportunity to meet with Hazrat Amirul Momineen(aba). A total of 20 regions across the country were represented in this mulaqat.

On Saturday 30 March, a group of 89 students from Germany had the privilege of meeting with Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V(aba) for a mulaqat.

Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, the Promised Messiah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat and originally wrote The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam as an essay in Urdu, Islami Usul Ki Philosophy. It was presented at the second Conference of Great Religions in Lahore.

It seems like yesterday when Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah strengthen his hand, graciously granted approval of starting an English weekly newspaper from the Markaz. Actually, it has been a whole year. 

23 March is celebrated globally by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat as “The Promised Messiah(as)Day”.

Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud(ra) stated that the subject of this discourse was so closely associated with the Jamaat that it could be considered a question of life and death.

Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya Canada visited the Markaz last week, visiting various Jamaat sites including Masjid Fazl, Baitul Futuh, Islamabad and Jamia Ahmadiyya UK.

During the fifth Khilafat, the noble sayings of the Promised Messiah(as) are being preserved through print, electronic and social media in such a way, the example of which has never before been witnessed. 

We do confirm with absolute justice and honesty that whatever the Promised Messiah(as)prophesised was a fact and a testament to his truth.

The news of Huzoor’s(as) arrival and stay in Lahore had spread to all parts of the city and people from all ranks of society would visit Huzoor(as) frequently. Huzoor’s schedule was extremely hectic as he would not refuse to meet anyone who came to see him.

Thus, this merit which the Promised Messiah(as) set forth presenting any argument in favour of any religion put scholars and preachers in great difficulty to face the Promised Messiah(as), and wherever they dared to take up this challenge, they were defeated.

“He (the Promised Reformer) will descend near the white minaret, East of Damascus.” (Sahih Muslim, Kitab al-Fitan wa Ashrat as-Sa‘ah)

It was not his practice to address anyone with their name only. Huzoor(as) would always use an honorific prefix and address them in second person plural [seen as more respectful in Urdu].

“Verily, Allah will appoint for this ummah, at the head of every century, one who will revive its religion for it.” (Sunan Abi Daud, Kitab-ul-Malahim, Hadith 4291)

UK Missionaries held their second Refresher Course starting on 22 February and running until 1 March 2019 at Fazl Mosque, London.

The very first International Nooruddin Cricket Tournament was held on 29 November to 2 December 2018 in UAE. 5 Teams participated in this tournament: USA, England, Dubai, Sharjah and Holland. On 24February 2019, qaids from Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya United Kingdom had the opportunity to seek guidance from Huzoor(aa) in a group mulaqat. A total of 127 local qaids and 22 regional qaids were present.

On 23 February, a group of 13 Waqifeen-e-Nau of Ireland, along with parents, had the opportunity to sit in the blessed presence of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih(aa).

On Saturday, 16 February 2019, local and regional Lajna Imaillah UK presidents were blessed to be granted a mulaqat with Hazrat Amirul Momineen, Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah strengthen his hand.  

“As soon as we received this blessed news, we started to make our preparations for this momentous opportunity.”

On Saturday, 2 February 2019, a group of Lajna members from the ages of 15-21 had a mulaqat with Hazrat Amirul Momineen, Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah strengthen his hand. 

A  28-man group – Ansar, Khuddam and Atfal – from Niedersachsen Jamaat, Germany were fortunate to have a mulaqat with Hazrat Amirul Momineen, Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah strengthen his hand, on Saturday, 9 February.

Initially, it may seem like a fun and harmless way to connect with friends, colleagues and families offshore, but over time, the now ubiquitous use of the internet and its social media platforms in modern culture is having a noticeable negative impact on human psychology. 

On 3 February 2019, 26 qaideen and members of the amila of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya France visited the Markaz to seek guidance from Hazrat Amirul Momineen, Khalifatul Masih V(aa). 

“If we try to adopt the excellent character that the Companions(ra) possessed in our lives, then a great change can come about within us.”

On Saturday, 26 January 2019, Majlis Ansarullah travelled from Sweden for a mulaqat with Hazrat Amirul Momineen, Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah strengthen his hand, to seek guidance on various matters.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad launched the newly re-designed website of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat after inspecting the new features of the mobile friendly website on 13 January 2019.

On 13 January, a group of seven new converts who travelled from Canada were blessed with a mulaqat, organised by Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiayya Canada, with Hazrat Amirul Momineen, Khalifatul Masih V(aa).

National Amila of Lajna Imaillah UK was privileged to be granted an audience with Hazrat Amirul Momineen, Khalifatul Masih V(aa) on Sunday, 6 January 2019 which took place in Mahmood Hall, Fazl Mosque.

The National Amila of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya United Kingdom were blessed with a mulaqat with Hazrat Amirul Momineen, Khalifatul Masih V(aa).

Huzoor(aa) emphasised on making programmes according to people’s interests, where we should conduct surveys among young people and see what programmes they require.

“I hope and pray that the African nations resist the worldly temptations to join existing international blocs or alliances that are based on greed and injustice.”
