When we arrived at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport as soon as we left the plane we were guided to a private room just a few metres away.
Ameer Sahib USA and other Jamaat USA officials greeted Hazur‐Aqdas, whilst Hadhrat Begum Sahiba sat with some Lajna members. We were there for around fifteen minutes and then we were told that everything was fine and we were free to go.
The respect and dignity with which the USA received Hazur was truly uplifting – it honestly seemed as though Allah Himself had made all of the arrangements.
In the past I had experienced that sometimes the USA Immigration Officers could be a little rude and certainly somewhat suspicious. Yet Allah has a special relationship with his Khalifa and it is He who makes sure that the dignity and honour of Khilafat is always maintained, Alhamdolillah.
We spent two days in Chicago. The first thing I noticed was the vast distances. Just to get to the Mosque for Salat used to take quite some time and this was something that was also the case when Hazur’s Qafila travelled to Ohio a couple of days later.
