Do you pray only with a congregation or can you pray alone?

Muslims are required to offer the five daily Islamic prayers (salat). The Holy Prophet^(sa) advised his followers that offering the required prayers at their proper times is especially pleasing to Allah.

Prayers can be offered alone, with family members, or with a congregation. Prayers should be offered in any clean and suitable area in which worship can be observed without significant distraction.
